GUIDELINES
THIS IS HOW WE PLAY
First of all, welcome to POKEMON REWIND! We're happy to have you here and we trust that you've read through everything else before coming to this thread. If not try to familiarize yourself with the rules before making an application.
Once you're familiar with our rules, trainer classes, battle guide, and rareties, you're finally ready to post your character to be accepted.
- We only allow animanga characters (no original characters or real life people, however we do allow fan art of real life characters so long as it looks animanga).
- Pokemon Hybrids, Gijinka, Pokemorphs and anything relevant aren't allowed. You can dress however you want, but people are people and Pokemon are Pokemon. There is no mixing for a variant. That's not what we are.
- Characters can be as young as ten years old, and as old as one-hundred.
- Rocket members may be no younger than fourteen and no older than fifty.
- Rangers can be no younger than sixteen and no older than fifty.
When you read the rareties list, you should have noticed that there is a rare list and an uncommon list. Rare pokemon are very difficult to find in the wild and are likely impossible to obtain unless a special event or promotion has been released. Uncommon pokemon can be found in the wild, however they have a low chance compared to Pokemon not on this list, legendaries excluded.
When you're filling out your application, you have a myriad of choices when it comes to your starter. Good news is that, for the time being, we have a promotional site re-opening gift going on which allows you to obtain...just go see for yourself, will you?
- Randomized Rares. This means that the staff pick 1 pokemon for you randomly from the rare and uncommon lists.
- Randomized Non-Rares. The staff will randomly pick 1 pokemon that is not on the rare or uncommon list for you.
- Selected Non-Rares. This is the option that lets you pick what pokemon you want that isn't on the rare or uncommon list.
As always, characters are able to catch wild Pokemon (so long as they have the Poke Ball to do so). Additionally, however, players are able to earn Pokemon through promotional rewards on-site, whether simply for joining during a specified point in time (i.e, site promotions), or for participating in special event threads (Miniature and/or Site-Wide).
We encourage members to take whatever path they choose with their character, meaning that you don't have to challenge the gyms in any particular order. All characters will start off in Pallet Town (save for Rangers and Rocket Members) so the general progression is basic. It's when you get to towns like Cerulean and Celadon where you can go many ways that it finally gets interesting.
The Gym Leaders and NPCs will have Pokemon leveled around the applicant, regardless of the level of your Pokemon. However it is expected that by the time you make it to Vermillion city, your Pokemon will be fairly leveled and not babies.
Money has always been around in both Pokemon and real life, and this won't be any different here on POKEMON REWIND. Below we will explain the many ways for your character(s) to attain wealth so that you can buy all the nice things available for your Pokemon on site.
First off, every post In-Character earns said character a static Five (5) Pokedollars. Creating the thread yourself (meaning first post) rewards a player Ten (10) Pokedollars. Additionally, when a thread is completed appropriately (exits are made by participants), Staff are able to give out an additional reward. For each page that has a total of 5+ posts, participants will net an additional Ten (10) Pokedollars.
Furthermore, Staff reserve the right to hand out extra earnings during event threads or site promotions of any kind. This will almost always be a set amount, meaning everyone will get an equal amount.
Lastly, to acquire your earnings, upon completion of your thread(s) you must post a link to them in the Notifications Board. Only then will a Staff member tend to your thread(s) and dole out the Pokedollars earned by the participant(s) involved in said thread(s).
