EVOLUTION
WHAT I NEED TO KNOW
Evolving pokemon has always been pretty straightforward. There are three main methods for your pokemon to evolve in-game and on-site. Others, while mentioned, are not recognized on-site and will have to be approached differently. You'll see what we mean below. Sorry if it becomes an inconvenience.
Level Evolution: The traditional method. Just like in the games when your pokemon reaches the specified level needed, it will evolve on site. You can delay evolutions at your own discretion without worry of intervention.
Item Evolution: Just like in-game, by paying forty (40) pokedollars in the PokeMart you can obtain any Evolutionary Item that you would need to evolve your pokemon like in-game. Additionally, any Pokemon that would level via the environment (i.e, Leafeon and moss) simply takes an evolution stone that best reflects their typing.
Trade Evolution: By paying forty (40) pokedollars, you can perform a "self-trade," allowing you to essentially evolve it on your own, maybe even NPCing, or just playing it off ICly as if it was an NPC who had your pokemon for a short time. Though you do not have to mention the trade In-Character, you may. The only thing we demand is that you post in the Trade Center to perform this self-trade, so that we can identify the transaction. Pokemon that require a held item to evolve via trading do NOT need the held item to evolve.
Happiness: This is not heavily monitored on site. It's up to the member to decide when it's Happiness has perhaps peaked, with Coordinators & Breeders having the most leniency. Just try to have a sense of realism and keep from rushing. If you want to rush this evolution, buy the evolution stone that best reflects the pokemon's typing for forty (40) PD.
Mega-Evolution is currently undeveloped in Kanto. Only ancient rumors and speculation spark these myths. However Silph Co. has begun developing an unusual resonance crystal to be integrated into a Trainer's tool set shortly.
Mega Stones can be obtained in almost any situation a fossil or other rare exotic items can be discovered, as special prizes, and sometimes sold at an exorbitant price at the PokeMart or the Rocket Game Corner as prize fodder.
