TRAINER CLASSES
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE
Trainer Classes are the individual groups of characters who use Pokemon. They either train or work with Pokemon in some fashion, with voluntary compliance or otherwise. Each individual class has its own perks differing from the others, making each class unique.
Note: When selecting a Starter most classes generally have two options:
#1. Opt for a Common pokemon of their choice.
#2. Ask for a guaranteed but randomly rolled Rare/Uncommon Pokemon.
#3. Reserved for Rangers and Team Rocket: Six Pokemon are rolled, and the player is able to freely take two (2) of their choice. Classes may be restricted to particular types (i.e, Team Rocket). It is guaranteed that one (1) pokemon will be Rare/Uncommon.
If a player wants to choose a Common starter, they should designate the name of the Pokemon in the appropriate field on the Profile Application.
A player opting for a randomized Rare/Uncommon should type "RANDOM" into the field.
A character applicable for Method #3 should type "CLASS PERK".
Trainers are those whose passion is battling, not merely for the sake of winning but for the thrill of a true challenge. It's a tradition that has been thriving for generations. As a Pokemon Trainer they're entitled to a fifty percent (50%) discount on all PokeBalls in the PokeMart board. Trainers are also gifted a PokeDex, yielding a higher chance at finding the Pokemon they're searching for in particular. This is a 50% chance, meaning that Staff will roll a number 1-100. If it is 50 or lower Staff spawn one of your preferred pokemon.
Rangers are tasked with protecting and preserving Pokemon in their natural habitat. Furthermore Rangers have a fifty-percent (50%) chance of rescuing stolen Pokemon from Team Rocket to return them to the NPC in exchange for a reward. This prize can vary depending on the feat, generally between 10-40 PD on average. They also have a fifty percent (50%) discount on any of the Potions & Revives.
Coordinators are the fashion gurus of the Pokemon world, and in Kanto they've made a profound impact on the Pokemon community. They get a fifty-percent (50%) discount on all TMs & HMs from the PokeMart board. They receive free transportation to all Coordinator events without the necessary map progression, and receive an extra fifty-percent (50%) of placement rewards during Coordinator Events. Their Pokemon are the most likely to produce a Shiny when breeding at the DayCare.
Team Rocket members are criminals who capitalize on the benefits of stealing and selling Pokemon. While interacting with an NPC they have a fifty-percent (50%) chance to steal the NPC's Pokemon (including any Canon NPCs, i.e. Gym Leaders). They can choose to keep these Pokemon, trade or even sell them away for a profit. Rockets are restricted to Dark/Ghost/Normal/Poison types when choosing their starters with Method #3. They also extort more PokeDollars out of battles they win, receiving an additional fifty percent (50%) of what would be their unaltered earnings via the battle.
